What is this page about

Brooklyn is a densely populated district of New York (2.7 million in 2020). If Brooklyn were a city, it would be the third most populous city in the US after Los Angeles and Chicago. Brooklyn was named after the Dutch village of Breukelen. Brooklyn was an independent city until January 1, 1898, when, after a long political campaign in the 1890s, it was merged with other districts to form the modern city of New York.

Today I will tell you about the things to see and to do in Brooklyn. Unfortunately it started raining heavily while I was there and I couldn’t see everything I wanted to, but I’m pretty sure it’s worth it.

Finally, I suggest you watch the sunset on the Brooklyn side overlooking the two bridges and Manhattan – and New York will definitely remain in your heart forever.

The Manhattan Bridge is a creation of the architect Leon Moisseiff from a family of political emigrants from Latvia. The bridge was opened to the public in 1909. The Brooklyn Bridge is a project of the German emigrant John Roebling. Construction of the bridge began in 1870.
